Pokemon Knife Red

Introduction: "Pokémon Knife Red" is a fan-made ROM hack of the official Game Boy Advance game Pokémon FireRed, designed to run on GBA hardware or emulators. It is not a Game Boy (DMG/Color) title. The hack is set in the Kanto region but features a completely rewritten, darker narrative involving criminal syndicates and a more mature plot. Visually, it retains the standard FireRed engine and sprite work.

Gameplay & Mechanics: The game offers a non-standard choice of three starter Pokémon: Eevee, Pikachu, and Clefairy. It is known for a significantly increased difficulty level, with tougher Gym Leaders and wild encounters, making it less friendly for casual Nuzlocke runs without planning. Mechanically, it does not implement the Physical/Special split from Generation IV, nor does it add the Fairy type. It operates on the Generation III battle system and lacks a day/night cycle.
