Pokemon Trail

Introduction: "Pokémon Trail" is a fan-made ROM hack of Pokémon FireRed for the Game Boy Advance, not a Flash game. It is set in the new Trail Region, a mountainous and forested area. The visual style uses the standard Generation 3 engine with custom tiles for its new environments.

Gameplay & Mechanics: The game offers a choice of three starters: Chimchar, Totodile, and Treecko, pulling from different generations. It features a higher difficulty curve with tougher Gym Leaders and wild Pokémon, making it less Nuzlocke-friendly for beginners. It includes the Physical/Special split from Generation 4 and adds the Fairy type and Mega Evolution mechanics, which are significant engine modifications for a FireRed base.
