Introduction: "Pokemon Pokemon Returns" is a fan-made ROM hack of Pokemon FireRed for the Game Boy Advance. It is not an official game or a Flash title. The hack is set in the Kanto region, but with a modified storyline and roster. Visually, it uses the standard FireRed engine and tilesets, so it looks identical to the base game.

Gameplay & Mechanics: The game retains the standard starter choice of Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle. Its primary mechanical change is a vastly expanded Pokedex, incorporating many Pokemon from Generations 2, 3, and 4 into the Kanto map. It does not include the Physical/Special split from Generation 4, nor does it add the Fairy type. The difficulty is slightly increased due to the wider variety of Pokemon used by trainers, but it is not designed as a dedicated challenge hack.
