Introduction: Pokémon: A Grand Day Out is a fan-made ROM hack of Pokémon FireRed for the Game Boy Advance. It is not an official release. The game is set in the Kanto region, but it presents a condensed, story-driven adventure focused on a single day. Visually, it retains the standard GBA style of FireRed with some custom sprite work for new characters.
Gameplay & Mechanics: The hack features a fixed starter: you receive a Pikachu from Professor Oak at the beginning of your "grand day out." It does not include the Physical/Special split from later generations, nor does it add the Fairy type or Mega Evolution.
