About This Game
Introduction: Pokemon Adventure Green is a fan-made ROM hack of Pokemon FireRed for the Game Boy Advance. It is not an official title. The game is set in the Kanto region but features a completely original story that diverges from the standard journey, focusing on a new narrative involving the criminal organization Team Rocket. Visually, it retains the standard GBA-era sprite work and tiles from FireRed.
Gameplay & Mechanics: The game offers the original Kanto starters: Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle. Its difficulty is notably higher than the base game, with tougher trainer battles and Gym Leaders, making it less Nuzlocke-friendly for beginners. Mechanically, it is built on the pre-Physical/Special split Generation III engine, so moves are categorized by type rather than individual move properties. It does not include the Fairy type, Mega Evolution, or a day/night cycle.
Key Features:
- A completely rewritten story where Team Rocket is the central antagonist from the very beginning, altering the progression through Kanto.
- An expanded roster of available Pokemon, including many from the Johto and Hoenn regions integrated into the Kanto wild encounters and trainer teams.
