About This Game
Introduction: Pokemon Blaze Version (beta 1.0) is a fan-made ROM hack of the official Pokemon FireRed for the Game Boy Advance. It is set in the new Koruto Region, a land with a mix of volcanic and coastal areas. The visual style uses FireRed's base graphics with custom tiles for new towns and routes, and features original character sprites.
Gameplay & Mechanics: The hack retains the standard FireRed mechanics, meaning it does not include the Physical/Special split or the Fairy type. The starter Pokemon are Charmander, Treecko, and Totodile, offering a cross-generational choice. The difficulty is moderately increased with higher-leveled Gym Leaders and wild Pokemon, but it is not specifically designed as a Nuzlocke challenge. Key mechanical changes include the addition of a day and night cycle, which affects wild Pokemon encounters, and the ability to use Running Shoes indoors.
