About This Game
Introduction: "Pokemon Derpizard (v1.2)" is a fan-made ROM hack of Pokemon FireRed. It is set in the new region of Derpia, a land with a comedic and often absurd tone. The visual style uses the standard Game Boy Advance assets from FireRed, but with numerous custom sprite edits and map changes to fit its silly narrative.
Gameplay & Mechanics: The game begins with a choice of three unconventional starter Pokemon: Derpizard (a derpy Charizard variant), Derpsaur, and Derptile. The difficulty is generally low and unbalanced, prioritizing humor over challenge, making it unsuitable for a traditional Nuzlocke run. It retains the FireRed engine, meaning it lacks the Physical/Special split, the Fairy type, and Mega Evolution. Key mechanical changes are minimal, focusing instead on joke implementations and altered Pokemon encounters.
