Pokemon Elite Quest (alpha)

Introduction: Pokémon Elite Quest (Alpha) is a fan-made ROM hack of Pokémon FireRed for the Game Boy Advance. It is set in the new region of Korros, a land with a history of conflict between humans and Pokémon. The visual style uses the standard FireRed engine with custom tiles and sprites for new locations and characters.

Gameplay & Mechanics: The hack offers a choice of three starter Pokémon: Chimchar, Piplup, and Turtwig, from the Sinnoh region. Its difficulty is notably higher than the base game, featuring stronger Gym Leaders and wild Pokémon with improved AI and movesets, making it a challenging but fair experience for seasoned players. It incorporates the Physical/Special split from Generation IV and includes the Fairy type, updating type matchups and move classifications accordingly. A day and night cycle is also present.
