Pokemon : Frigo Returns

Introduction: Pokemon: Frigo Returns is a fan-made ROM hack of Pokemon FireRed for the Game Boy Advance. The game is set in the Frigo Region, a new landmass with a cold, mountainous aesthetic. The visual style uses the standard GBA tiles and sprites from the Generation III engine, with custom maps and some edited character sprites to fit the wintry theme.

Gameplay & Mechanics: The hack retains the standard three-starter choice from FireRed: Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle. Its difficulty is moderately increased, featuring higher-leveled trainers and Gym Leaders, but it is not specifically designed as a Nuzlocke challenge. Mechanically, it is based on the pre-Physical/Special split Generation III system; moves are categorized as Physical or Special based on their type, not the move itself. The Fairy type and Mega Evolution are not present. A day/night cycle is not implemented, as the base engine lacks it.
