About This Game

Pokemon League Conquest (alpha 1.0) Box Art

Introduction: "Pokemon League Conquest (alpha 1.0)" is a fan-made ROM hack of Pokemon FireRed. It is not an official title. The game is set in a new region called Conquest and uses the standard visual style of the Generation 3 Game Boy Advance games, with custom maps and sprites for its new areas.

Gameplay & Mechanics: The hack offers a choice of three starter Pokemon: Charmander, Bulbasaur, or Squirtle. It is built on the FireRed engine, so it does not include the Physical/Special split from Generation 4, nor does it add the Fairy type. The difficulty is generally higher than the base game, with tougher trainer battles, making it less ideal for a casual first-time Nuzlocke run. Key mechanical changes include a reworked level curve and the addition of new move tutors.

Key Features:

  • A completely new Conquest Region with eight original Gyms and an Elite Four to challenge.
  • An expanded Pokedex featuring Pokemon from Generations 1-3, with some later-generation evolutions like Steelix and Scizor made available.
  • Numerous quality-of-life improvements, including reusable TMs and the ability to use Running Shoes indoors from the start of the game.
As an alpha version, players may encounter unfinished areas or minor bugs during their journey.
