Introduction: Pokemon Light Version (beta 1.01) is a fan-made ROM hack of the official Game Boy Advance game Pokemon FireRed. It is set in the new region of Lumina, which features a mix of new and familiar towns and routes. The visual style retains the core FireRed aesthetic but with new maps, some custom sprite work for characters, and a generally brighter color palette that fits the "Light" theme.

Gameplay & Mechanics: The hack offers a choice of three starter Pokemon: Eevee, Riolu, and Shinx. It is built on the Generation III engine, so it does not include the Physical/Special split from Generation IV, nor does it add the Fairy type. The difficulty is moderately increased compared to the base game, with stronger trainer teams and adjusted level curves, making it a solid challenge but not specifically designed as a Nuzlocke. Key mechanical changes include the implementation of a day and night cycle, which affects wild Pokemon encounters and certain in-game events.
