Introduction: "Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Legend of the Psychics (v1.0)" is a fan-made ROM hack of the Game Boy Advance game Pokemon FireRed. It is not an official Mystery Dungeon title but rather a traditional RPG-style hack that replaces the Kanto region with a new, original region. The visual style retains the standard FireRed engine and tilesets, with custom story events and maps.
Gameplay & Mechanics: The hack begins with a choice of starter Pokemon that includes Ralts, Abra, and Espeon, focusing on Psychic-type creatures. The difficulty is notably higher than the base game, with tougher trainer battles and wild encounters, making it less forgiving for casual play. It does not implement the Physical/Special split from Generation IV, nor does it add the Fairy type. Key mechanical changes are limited to the custom roster and increased battle challenge, rather than engine overhauls.
