About This Game
Introduction: Pokémon Orchid is a fan-made ROM hack of the Game Boy Advance game Pokémon FireRed. It is set in the new Orchid Region, a land with a distinct visual style that blends classic GBA aesthetics with new tiles and sprites for its towns and routes. The story involves investigating a mysterious energy source and confronting the Team Eclipse organization.
Gameplay & Mechanics: The hack offers a choice of three starter Pokémon: Riolu, Shinx, and Gible, all from later generations. It incorporates the Physical/Special split from Generation IV and includes the Fairy type. The difficulty is elevated compared to the base game, with stronger Gym Leader teams and smarter AI, making it a solid choice for players seeking a more challenging experience. It does not feature Mega Evolution or a day/night cycle.
