About This Game
Introduction: Pokémon RES V1 is a fan-made ROM hack of Pokémon FireRed for the Game Boy Advance. It is set in the new Reshi Region, a land with a story centered on the legendary Pokémon Reshiram and a conflict involving Team Rocket's resurgence. The visual style uses the standard FireRed engine with some custom tiles and sprites for new areas.
Gameplay & Mechanics: The hack offers a choice of three starter Pokémon: Charmander, Bulbasaur, and Squirtle. It is considered a moderate-difficulty hack, with increased trainer levels and more strategic team compositions, making it suitable for players seeking a standard challenge rather than a dedicated Nuzlocke run. It retains the original FireRed mechanics, meaning it does not include the Physical/Special split, the Fairy type, or Mega Evolution. A day and night cycle is not implemented.
