About This Game
Introduction: Pokémon Vega is a fan-made ROM hack of Pokémon FireRed for the Game Boy Advance. It is set in the Tohoak region, a completely new landmass, and is notable for its extensive roster of original "Fakemon." The visual style uses FireRed's engine but features entirely new sprite work for its custom Pokémon, towns, and routes.
Gameplay & Mechanics: The game offers three original starter Pokémon: Floatzoy (Water), Scorchel (Fire), and Leafeon (Grass). It is known for its high difficulty, with tougher trainer AI, higher-level wild Pokémon, and complex gym puzzles, making it less suited for casual Nuzlocke runs. It retains the pre-Physical/Special split mechanics of its base game and does not include the Fairy type or Mega Evolution. A day and night cycle is present.
