About This Game
Introduction: Pokemon Crystal All is a fan-made ROM hack of the official Pokemon Crystal for the Game Boy Color. It is not a new region hack but a comprehensive enhancement patch for the original Johto adventure. The visual style remains faithful to the classic GBC aesthetic but with expanded content.
Gameplay & Mechanics: The hack's primary goal is to make all 251 Pokemonday/night cycle and does not implement later mechanics like the Physical/Special split or Fairy type. The core mechanical change is the removal of trade-based evolution barriers, allowing Pokemon like Gengar and Alakazam to evolve by level-up or other in-game methods.
Key Features:
- Complete Pokedex Accessibility: Every Pokemon from Bulbasaur to Celebi can be caught within the game, often through new wild encounters, in-game trades, or event triggers.
- Removed Trade Evolutions: Evolutions that originally required a link cable are modified to use level-up, item use, or other single-player conditions.
- Quality-of-Life Tweaks: Includes minor fixes and adjustments, such as corrected movepools and typings for some Pokemon, to better align with later series standards while staying on the GBC engine.
