Pokemon Dreamland (gold hack)

Introduction: Pokemon Dreamland is a fan-made ROM hack of the Game Boy Color game Pokemon Gold. It is not an official release. The hack creates a new region, Dreamland, which is a custom map separate from Johto or Kanto. Visually, it retains the original Pokemon Gold engine and sprite style, but with new town and route layouts.

Gameplay & Mechanics: The game offers a choice of three starter Pokemon: Chikorita, Cyndaquil, and Totodile, maintaining the Generation II selection. It does not implement later mechanical changes like the Physical/Special split or the Fairy type. The difficulty is generally comparable to the base Gold game, though the custom region layout can alter progression pacing. It includes the standard Gold day/night cycle.
