About This Game
Introduction: Pokémon Flora Sky: Complement Dex Version is a fan-made ROM hack of Pokémon Emerald for the Game Boy Advance. It is an expanded version of the original Flora Sky hack, set in the new Oblivia Region. The visual style uses the standard Generation III engine with new maps, sprites, and tiles to depict a world threatened by the legendary Pokémon Dialga and Palkia.
Gameplay & Mechanics: The hack retains the standard three-starter choice from Emerald (Treecko, Torchic, Mudkip). Its difficulty is higher than the official games, with stronger Gym Leader teams and revised wild Pokémon levels, making it less forgiving for a blind Nuzlocke run. It does not implement the Physical/Special split from Generation IV, but it does include a day/night cycle and the Fairy type. Key mechanical changes include the addition of Pokémon from Generations IV and V and the implementation of reusable TMs.
Key Features:
- Expanded National Dex: The "Complement Dex" version specifically adds over 100 more Pokémon than the original hack, including many from Generation V, bringing the total to over 500 catchable species.
- Post-Game Episode: After the main story, players can access a substantial new chapter involving Giratina and the Distortion World, offering additional legendary encounters and areas to explore.
- Revised World Events: The storyline integrates the Sky Pillar and Rayquaza to resolve the conflict between Dialga and Palkia, creating a unique narrative that blends Hoenn and Sinnoh lore.
