About This Game
Introduction: Pokemon World Link (beta) is an unfinished ROM hack of Pokemon FireRed for the Game Boy Advance. It is set in the new region of Korros, which features a mix of original and familiar-looking towns and routes. The visual style uses FireRed's base tiles and sprites with some custom edits, maintaining the standard GBA aesthetic.
Gameplay & Mechanics: The game offers a choice of three starter Pokemon: Charmander, Bulbasaur, and Squirtle. It is built on the pre-Physical/Special split engine of FireRed, meaning move categories are still determined by type. The difficulty is standard for a base FireRed hack, not specifically designed as a challenge run. Key mechanical changes are limited; it does not introduce the Fairy type, Mega Evolution, or a day/night cycle, focusing instead on new story content and region design.
