Pokemon Generations (red hack)

Introduction: Pokemon Generations is a fan-made ROM hack of Pokemon FireRed for the Game Boy Advance, not the original Game Boy. It is set in the new region of Almia, which is distinct from the official regions. The visual style uses the standard Generation III engine with custom maps and some new sprite work for characters and key locations.

Gameplay & Mechanics: The hack offers a choice of three starter Pokemon: Chimchar, Piplup, and Turtwig from Generation IV. Its difficulty is increased compared to the base game, featuring stronger Gym Leaders and wild Pokemon, but it is not specifically designed as a Nuzlocke challenge. It implements the Physical/Special split from Generation IV, which is a core mechanical upgrade over the original FireRed. The Fairy type and Mega Evolution are not present in this hack.
