Introduction: Pokemon Indigo Lite is a fan-made ROM hack of the official Game Boy Color game Pokemon Crystal. It is set in the Kanto region, using the original Johto-based engine to recreate the classic journey from Pallet Town. The visual style is identical to Generation 2, featuring the same color palette and sprite work as the base game.

Gameplay & Mechanics: The hack offers the original Kanto starter trio: Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle. It is designed as a streamlined, easier version of the Kanto experience, making it accessible for new players or those seeking a relaxed playthrough; it is not built for Nuzlocke challenges. Mechanically, it retains the Generation 2 system, meaning there is no Physical/Special split, no Fairy type, and no abilities. It includes the day/night cycle from Crystal.

Key Features:

• Kanto Region Focus: The game condenses the adventure to the original eight Kanto gyms and the Pokemon League, removing the Johto portion of the journey entirely.
• Simplified Progression: Key items and HMs are obtained earlier, and some roadblocks are removed to facilitate a faster, more linear playthrough.
• Updated Pokemon Availability: While using Gen 2 sprites, the hack adjusts wild encounters and trainer teams to include Pokemon from the original 151 that were not readily available in the Johto games' Kanto segment.
