About This Game

Pokemon Bulgasaui Dungeon Parang Gujodae (Sinabro) (K) Box Art

Introduction: "Pokemon Bulgasaui Dungeon Parang Gujodae (Sinabro) (K)" is a Korean-language bootleg cartridge for the Nintendo DS. It is not an official Pokemon title or a ROM hack, but a repackaging of the 2008 Nintendo DS game Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky. The "(Sinabro)" in the title is the Korean localization of the partner Pokemon Piplup. The game retains the original's story and visual style, where players take on the role of a human transformed into a Pokemon to explore randomly generated dungeons with a partner.

Gameplay & Mechanics: The gameplay is identical to Explorers of Sky. You begin by taking a personality quiz to determine your player character Pokemon from a pool including Charmander, Totodile, and Riolu, and then choose a partner from a separate set like Piplup (Sinabro), Chimchar, or Turtwig. It is a turn-based dungeon crawler with permanent fainting and item loss upon defeat, making it inherently challenging. Key mechanics from the base game are present, including the IQ Skill system, Recruit-able Pokemon for your exploration team, and the Sentinel duty mini-game. The Physical/Special split from Generation IV is not applicable to this side-series' combat system.

Key Features:

  • Complete Korean translation of the original Explorers of Sky script, including its extensive post-game story episodes.
  • Access to all 490 Pokemon available in the original game, from Bulbasaur to Arceus, to recruit in dungeons.
  • Potential for cartridge-specific bugs or save corruption, which is common with unofficial bootleg hardware.
This cartridge offers a legitimate way to play the definitive version of the Explorers story in Korean, albeit on unofficial media.
