Pokemon Fushigi No Dungeon - Toki No Tankentai (J)

Introduction: This is an official Nintendo DS game, specifically the Japanese version of Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time. It is part of the second generation of Mystery Dungeon spin-off titles. The story is set in a world where the player, transformed into a Pokémon, joins the Wigglytuff Guild to explore randomly generated dungeons and investigate the mystery of a paralyzed time.

Gameplay & Mechanics: The game begins with a personality quiz to determine your starter Pokémon from a pool including Charmander, Totodile, Mudkip, Pikachu, Eevee, and others. You then choose a partner from the remaining pool. The core gameplay is a turn-based, grid-based dungeon crawler, distinct from mainline Pokémon titles. There is no Physical/Special split, Fairy type, or Mega Evolution, as it uses its own mechanical framework. The difficulty is inherent to the roguelike genre, with permanent fainting resulting in lost items and money, making it challenging but not designed as a Nuzlocke.
