Pokemon Mystery Dungeon - Explorers of Sky

Introduction: Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky is an official Nintendo DS title, serving as an expanded version of Explorers of Time and Explorers of Darkness. It is a spin-off game set in a world inhabited solely by Pokémon, where you play as a human transformed into one. The story is centered around the coastal Wigglytuff's Guild and the mysterious Temporal Tower. The visual style uses 2D sprites in isometric, procedurally generated dungeons.

Gameplay & Mechanics: The game begins with a personality quiz that determines your player character Pokémon from a pool of 19 starters, including all from Generations I-IV except for legendaries. Your partner is chosen separately from the remaining pool. Core gameplay is turn-based dungeon crawling where you move through randomly generated floors, managing hunger and recruiting defeated Pokémon. It is not a traditional Pokémon RPG and is not designed for Nuzlocke runs. Key mechanics are unique to the Mystery Dungeon series, such as the IQ System for passive skills and Move Link to use two moves in one turn. It does not feature the Physical/Special split, Fairy types, or Mega Evolution, as it uses its own internal battle system.
