Introduction: This is the official Japanese version of the original Pokémon Ranger for the Nintendo DS. It is a spin-off title set in the Fiore region, distinct from the main series. The game uses a top-down perspective with 2D sprites and 3D environments, focusing on a ranger's duty rather than a trainer's journey.

Gameplay & Mechanics: The core gameplay revolves around capturing wild Pokémon using the DS stylus to draw loops around them on the touch screen, a system completely different from traditional turn-based battles. You do not choose a starter Pokémon; instead, your primary partner is a Minun or Plusle depending on your character's gender. The game is not designed for a Nuzlocke challenge, as the capture mechanics and mission-based structure are incompatible with those rules. It does not include mechanics like the Physical/Special split or Mega Evolution, as it operates on its own unique engine.

Key Features:
