Pokemon Advanced Adventure

Introduction: Pokemon Advanced Adventure is a fan-made ROM hack of Pokemon FireRed for the Game Boy Advance. It is not an official release. The game is set in the new Kuland region and features an original story where the player must stop the Team Magma and Team Aqua alliance. The visual style uses the standard FireRed engine with custom maps and some new sprite work.

Gameplay & Mechanics: The game offers a choice of three starter Pokemon: Treecko, Torchic, and Mudkip. It is built on the Generation III engine, so it does not include the Physical/Special split from Generation IV, nor the Fairy type. The difficulty is considered higher than the base game, with tougher trainer battles and Gym Leaders, making it a candidate for Nuzlocke challenges. Key mechanical changes include a full National Pokedex available from the start and the ability to catch all Pokemon from Generations I through III without trading.
