About This Game
Introduction: Pokemon Distorted Realms is a fan-made ROM hack of Pokemon FireRed for the Game Boy Advance. It is set in the new region of Vastoria, a land plagued by dimensional rifts that cause strange phenomena. The visual style uses the standard GBA tiles and sprites from the third generation, with some custom artwork for new characters and locations.
Gameplay & Mechanics: The hack offers a choice of three starter Pokemon: Riolu, Shinx, and Gible. It is designed to be a more challenging experience than the base game, with higher-leveled trainers and gym leaders, making it suitable for players seeking a tougher run. It incorporates the Physical/Special split from Generation IV and includes the Fairy type. The game does not feature Mega Evolution but does implement a functional day and night cycle.
